Through the Seasons: Connection and Growth in St. Augustine

After settling into practice and finding my footing in St. Augustine, the months that followed unfolded through moments of community connection, service, and steady growth.  Looking back now, this year feels less like a series of events and more like a rhythm, each season bringing opportunities to show up, listen, and contribute in meaningful ways.

Summer: Laying the Groundwork

The summer months offered early opportunities to connect with organizations and individuals doing important work in women’s health and family care.  In July, I was privileged to be one of the sponsors of the A Stronger Start Gala, an event centered on postpartum support and mental health.  These themes are deeply woven into my clinical work, and it was meaningful to witness the level of care and advocacy present within the local community.

In August, I launched AcuNap Community Acupuncture, offering accessible acupuncture in a calm, communal setting at Oldest City Arts and Wellness Lounge.  This model reflects a long-held belief of mine, that acupuncture should be both effective and accessible.  AcuNap became a space where people could rest, regulate their nervous systems, and experience healing in a way that felt supportive and inclusive.

Fall: Community Presence and Professional Growth

As the year moved into fall, community involvement expanded beyond the clinic walls. I participated in Pink Up the Pace, supporting breast cancer awareness, and the Jailbreak 5K at the Old Jail, which raised funds for local education initiatives.  These events were reminders that health is deeply connected to the broader social fabric, education, advocacy, and collective care all play a role.

Professionally, the fall also marked the beginning of a 9 month perinatal mentorship program, allowing me to further deepen my knowledge and refine how I support fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care.  Continued learning is an essential part of providing thoughtful, evidence-informed acupuncture, and this mentorship strengthened the foundation of my women’s health work.

Winter: Integration and Expansion

In November, I expanded my practice to include an additional office location in Palencia.  This step allowed me to serve a wider community while maintaining the personalized, relationship-based care that defines my practice.  Growth, for me, has always meant expanding with intention rather than speed.  Read about my expansion here: Stroll Palencia.

The year closed with community gatherings such as Palencia Winterfest, offering a chance to connect face-to-face with families, neighbors, and fellow business owners.  These moments of shared space and conversation felt like a fitting way to end the year, rooted in presence and connection.

Looking Ahead

As I reflect on this past year, I’m struck by how much can take shape when growth is allowed to unfold naturally. This season has been about integration, bringing together clinical care, community involvement, and professional development in a way that feels sustainable and aligned.

I’m deeply grateful for the patients, collaborators, and community members who have welcomed me into this work.  These experiences continue to shape how my practice evolves, grounded in care, trust, and a shared commitment to health and wellbeing.
